Features of manways with diameters from DN300 to DN500

Round manways with dimensions in the DN300-DN500 range are among the most popular groups of manholes used in various industries. In this size range there are both non-pressure manways and pressure manways compliant with the PED directive. Round manways DN300-DN500 are manufactured from stainless steels in grades AISI 304/304L, as well as in grades AISI 316/316L.

 

Particularly worth mentioning in the group of DN300-DN500 manways are those with a minimum size of DN400. This is because they are commonly used as an inspection element for various types of tanks and industrial equipment (diameter of 400 mm and above ensures that a technician of average body build can get through and carry out inspection or repairs inside the tank).

 

As standard, DN300-DN500 circular manways are equipped with a handwheel closure. However, there are also clamp manways in this group, which allow the manhole cover to be opened and closed with a special coupling.
