Stainless steel round manway C79 is installed in the roof of the stainless steel tank. Its hinged cover opens outside and is fixed by one handwheel. What's more, the flat area on the cover allows for the installation of additional accessories (for example: sight glass or breathe valve).
Model C79 is produced as standard with mounting frame (flange) of 45 mm height (see table). Optionally, it is possible to equip the manway with a frame of up to 200 mm height. As a result, the manway can be installed in stainless steel tanks covered with thermal insulation.
The round manway C79 is generally installed in stainless steel tanks designed for storing various types of liquid products, but it can also be successfully used in a variety of process equipment. Usually, the C79 type manway is built into stainless steel tanks for the food, dairy, fruit and vegetable processing industries. It is also commonly installed in non-pressure industrial equipment for cosmetics, biotechnology, chemical industries etc.
As standard, the C79 manway is manufactured from AISI 304 grade stainless steel, and optionally from AISI 316L. A wide range of gasket materials allows the manway to be used in contact with a variety of working media (liquids).
