Stainless steel oval manway E158
Stainless steel oval manway E158, is a multipurpose construction, which can be successfully built into both the roof and the side wall of the tank.
Four handwheels and a gasket are responsible for maintaining tightness when closed. It is worth noting that the relatively small number of handwheels minimizes the time required to open the manway. Moreover, the smoothly polished and convex surface of the cover makes it easy to clean, prevents dirt from settling, and allows water to drain quickly. These features certainly predestine the manway for use in environments where washing of equipment is particularly frequent.
The lid of the E158 manway opens outward, and is supported by a hinge when opened. This model features a strong and compact design, which guarantees a long lifetime without the need for repairs. The relatively large opening, formed after opening the lid, provides safe access to the inside of the tank.
The use of stainless steel oval manway E158
The E158 manway can be widely used in stainless steel tanks and silos used in, among others:
- food industry,
- brewery,
- dairy industry,
- beverage production,
- distilling,
- cosmetics industry,
- chemical and biotechnology industries.
Moreover, the E158 manway is successfully used in all types of applications that require high standards of cleanliness and/or increased corrosion resistance. It will also perform well in silos for storing bulk products.
When selecting a manway for a specific operating environment, it is essential to consider the parameters and chemical resistance of the materials and components used in its construction.
