The E125XL stainless steel oval manway cover is a very large, and solid construction, which provides free access to the inside of the pressure vessel during its ongoing maintenance.

The lid of this manway, when closed, maintains full tightness. This is also due to the additional pressure coming from the liquid filling the tank. Once the tank has been completely emptied and the pressure element on the lid has been unscrewed, the manway opens toward the inside of the tank. All manipulation of the opening and closing of the manway is facilitated by a solid handle and a massive hinge. In addition, the hinge stabilizes and holds the lid in the open position, thus ensuring the safety of the operator during servicing operations.

The E125XL oval manway cover is installed by welding it into a hole prepared in the side wall of the pressure vessel. Generally, the manhole cover can be installed in stainless steel tanks. It is permissible to install the manway in tanks made of black steel, however, provided that adequate separation is guaranteed to avoid electrolytic corrosion.

The main area of application for this manway are large tanks used in the fermentation industry - beverage and alcohol production, as well as in food production. By selecting the right grade of stainless steel and a polymer that maintains resistance to the elements in the tank, the

It is used with good results in the biotechnology, chemical, cosmetics and many other industries. The E125XL is successfully used in all types of applications requiring high hygiene and/or increased corrosion resistance.

The polymers used for the gaskets installed in this manway are approved for food contact by a certification body widely recognized around the world - the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, or FDA for short.
