Stainless steel W2/A/PE manway for plastic tanks - key features
W2/A/PE rectangular stainless steel manway is a unique construction designed for installation in polyethylene tanks and other tanks made of plastic.
The structure is based on two basic elements:
- external part (manway door with external mounting flange),
- internal part (counter flange mounted inside the tank).
The use of this type of manway in polyethylene tanks allows for regular inspection of the interior and maintenance work.
Color of the handwheels may vary from those shown in the pictures.
Solid cover
Manway W2/A/PE is a vertical construction that can be opened outside the tank. The cover of W2/D manway is equipped with two hinges that make opening easy and safe. The hinges also have a stabilizing function when the lid is opened, which makes it easier to carry out maintenance works. This model is installed in the side wall of plastic tanks by means of two flanges.
Flange construction
Model W2/A/PE is equipped with two flanges:
- external (connected to the manway door),
- internal (installed inside the tank).
Both flanges are bent to individual project requirements according to specified bending radius. The outer flange is equipped with holes for bolts' insertion into the tank and connection with the inner flange (by default, the inner flange does not have holes - they can be made upon request).
Mounting screws and sealing materials (inner and outer flange) are not included.

Model W2/A/PE is mainly used in plastic tanks. It is used in contact with liquid products in various industrial areas.
Usually this type of manway is installed in stainless steel tanks used in the following areas of industry
- painting industry,
- chemical industry,
- cosmetic industry and many others.
It is also successfully used in biotechnology and related sectors. The manway is also suitable for industrial tanks for process water.
